Permit Requirements
The City of Lacombe is an accredited municipality in the administration of the Safety Codes Act. The Act requires that all contractors and homeowners obtain permits prior to commencing work on buildings covered by various codes and regulations.
Depending on the type of development you are undertaking, you may require a building permit and secondary (electrical, plumbing and gas) permits. Codes that require certain permits may include:
- Alberta Building Code (building permits)
- Alberta Gas Code (gas and plumbing permits)
- Alberta Plumbing Code (plumbing permits)
- Canadian Electrical Code (electrical permits)
