The Lacombe Memorial Centre in downtown Lacombe hosts the City’s public art collection, including Elevators Ascending, a stunning glass mosaic depicting the Lacombe area and disappearance of community grain elevators.
Throughout the year, you will find many events and opportunities to experience arts and culture in Lacombe, including four major events:
The Encore Art Sale & Celebration of Creative Expression – If you love paintings, drawings, pottery, wood, glass, metal, and fiber, this fabulous two-day art show & sale in April is just for you! See and purchase works from Alberta artists, view the junior and senior high school student art competitions, and enjoy live music both days. It’s a fun family event.
Encore Creation Station during Lacombe Days – bring your children to the Lacombe Memorial Centre on Saturday during Lacombe Days in July. There are many free creative activities they can take part in, and take home what they create.
Lacombe Culture & Harvest Festival – there are so many events occurring around Lacombe during this multi-day event, your family is going to have a ball! Enjoy arts, history, and agricultural entertainment.
Light Up The Night – who doesn’t love Christmas lights and Santa Claus! This five-day event has a multitude of family-based happenings, including our famous Santa Claus Parade and the lighting of the trees in Lest We Forget Park at the Lacombe Memorial Centre. The Under $100 Art Market and Christmas Craft sales ensure you’ll find the right gifts for everyone in your family too!
