Responsibilities
Planning and Development Services focuses on ensuring current and future growth occurs in accordance with the regulations of the Land Use Bylaw to facilitate orderly, economical and beneficial development and use of land and buildings within the City of Lacombe.
City Council, the Municipal Planning Commission, and Planning and Development Services staff are involved in recommendations and/or decision making for development permit applications. Any appeals received objecting to the proposed development and/or any conditions placed on the Development Permit are heard by the regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
Planning and Development Services is available to answer any development related questions prior to submitting a Development Permit or planning application
