Request for Information, & Past Responses
The City of Lacombe and its Council recognize the need for two-way communication with its citizens. The City of Lacombe has established a practice which will ensure that complaints, inquiries, or requests regarding civic affairs are given proper consideration and are dealt in a fair, open, and timely manner.
Any complaint against a City Staff(s) will be handled professionally, with attention to the protection of the Staffs’ personal information. Members of the public who submit a complaint, inquiry, or request for information will receive an email response or see action taken. Online copies of replies can be found on this page for the current year or in a yearly archive responses as well.
Submission
There are multiple ways that a citizen can engage with council and administration. Council will receive correspondence by written letter, email and through the Request for Information Form, which will go directly to the Council Liaison.
Open Forum
To provide City of Lacombe citizens and ratepayers an opportunity to ask questions on matters of public interest or concern, during a regular council meeting, council may allow a person to make a presentation or, ask a question of council. Policy
Given the public nature of council and committee meetings, an individual writing to council or to the administration of a municipality may have a reasonable expectation that their correspondence, including their name and address, could be disclosed at a public council or committee meeting. Personal information such as telephone numbers, email addresses and any other personal details will be removed from public viewing. Collection of Personal Information
The personal information you provide is being collected for addressing citizen requests, inquiries, and complaints, and may, now or in the future, be used in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Act section 5(2)(d). This collection is authorized by the Protection of Privacy Act section 4(c).
