Candidates Running for Office

The official list of candidates for the 2025 Municipal Election in the City of Lacombe will be finalized at 12 p.m. (noon) on September 23, 2025. Those seeking public office formally declare their intentions to run by filing their nomination papers by Nomination Day (September 22, 2025). Candidates are running for the offices of Mayor and Councillor.

The City has also partnered with Wolf Creek School Division No. 72 and St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 38 to conduct the 2025 school trustee election.

Candidates for Mayor

Mayoral candidates are running for 1 position.

Candidates for Councillor

Councillor candidates are running for 6 positions.

The Register of Candidates is a record of all candidates who have given notice to the City of Lacombe that they intend to seek nomination for office in the next election. The City is required to maintain a register of candidates that have given notice to run and the register will be publicly available on the City of Lacombe’s website until December 31, 2025.

All registered candidates will be added to the website within 3 business days.
