The Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex is home to the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre. This indoor swimming facility, built in 1996, includes a 25 metre six-lane main pool, a teaching/leisure pool, and a large hot tub. The pool is not spontaneous use and follows a pool schedule to meet the variety of needs within the community. Adjacent to the aquatic centre is an outdoor splash park, which was renovated and re-landscaped in 2013.

Public Notices

Swimming lesson requirements have been updated. Please see the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre Guidelines Lessons (PDF) document for the updated details.

On June 29th, 2020 the Lacombe Spray Park will be open to the public with restrictions in place, find out more here.

While the Alberta Government has moved up its Phase 2 of the provincial Relaunch Plan to June 12, the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre remains closed to the public due to temporary layoffs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Lacombe is excitedly working to recall staff, design programming, and get the facility ready for public access.

As part of the second phase of the provincial relaunch plan, the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre will open to the public, with restrictions, beginning July 15, 2020.

For information regarding restrictions for each program, please visit the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre Activity Guidelines.

Physical distancing and disinfection protocols will be in effect. Those with COVID-19 symptoms, recent international travel, or recent close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to not enter the facility.

Group swimming lessons will begin with modifications on July 20, 2020. For those with credits on their accounts, registration opens June 29, and on July 2 for the general public. To register go to www.cityoflacombe.perfectmind.com or call 403-782-1278.

There will be minimal use of the change rooms; guests are required to come dressed for their activities and arrive no more than five minutes before their scheduled times.

Please note that due to the ongoing public health crisis, the above information is subject to change.

Meanwhile, the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre office is open for phone calls from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
