With over 20 years of commitment to economic and community development, the volunteers of the Lacombe Economic Development Board are constantly looking to the future for ways to maximize the effects of Lacombe's natural advantages while also identifying new opportunities that will benefit the community.

In 2007 the Board hosted  a number of special events, bringing together stakeholders in the Agricultural and Educational sectors to strengthen community networks and identify new ways of working together that will pave the way for continued growth and community opportunities.  The Power Lunch/Hour and the Shop-In-Lacombe programs are just a couple of the ways the Economic Development Board has brought the business sector and community together.

The board is comprised of dedicated professionals from a variety of backgrounds, appointed by the Mayor and Town Council and working directly with the Economic Development Officer to  ensure a balanced proactive business environment in Lacombe.
