Recreation Programs

What are you doing in your leisure time?  Interested in joining a team?  Lacombe offers a wide variety of activities to catch your interest and keep your active.  The recreation department - culture component, has rolled over their children's art programs and children's special events to LA Youth (782-1423).  This 'youth' oriented organization is in its second year of operation and going strong.  They offer a multitude of programs during the weekday to keep your young children involved.  Email them at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

It has been said it only takes 21 days to form a habit ... so each winter, the Town challenges 5-member teams to get active through their 'Lighten Up Lacombe' WinterActive Challenge.  Watch the Town website for information.

Youth Recreation Hockey (click here )

Two recreational hockey sessions are run each winter (before Christmas and after the New Year).  Each session has two age groups, 6-9 years and 10-13 years.  Fees for 2010 will be $90+GST per session.  Equipment requirements are minimal which helps to keep the costs down.  For more information on these programs, contact the Recreation Office at the Lacombe Sports and Leisure Complex at 403-782-1284.
