Opening an Account
- Please contact the Town of Lacombe office by phone 403-782-6666 or in person at least two business days prior to either the possession date or the date that you are responsible for the services.
- There is a $30 connection fee for every new account.
- If you are renting a residential property, a refundable $135 deposit and a signature on the form are required when the account is opened.
Billing Information
- Utility bills are sent out every other month.
- Actual water meter readings are taken for every other bill, when new accounts are signed up, and when you move out.
- You may call in a meter reading at the end of February, June, and October, if you prefer that an actual reading is used to calculate consumption for bills that are normally estimated.
- The flat rate for water services is $42.26 every two months.
- Water consumption is $1.81 per cubic meter
- Sewer charges are 35.32% of the combined water charges.
- Commercial properties require a refundable deposit of $250 and restaurants $500.
- The owner of a property is responsible for the utilities, unless another completed application is received and accepted by the Town of Lacombe office.
Payment Options
- Bills may be paid at the Town Office in person during office hours - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- After hours, please use the drop slot beside the front door.
- We accept cash, cheques, debit card, and credit card at the Town Office.
- You may sign up at the Town Office for preauthorized withdrawal, by
Signing Our Form and leaving a void cheque. You will receive your statement as usual, and the amount due will be withdrawn from your account on the due date.
- For internet and telephone banking, please use the 13 digit account number that is unique for each service address. If in doubt, please contact the utility billing department. If you move, please set up a new payment account number, that matches the one on your new bill, for your new service address.
- Some local banks accept Town of Lacombe utility bill payments.
- Payments may be made at some bank machines.
